Assignment and Objectives

You will be researching a Spanish speaking country to learn about its people, culture, history and tourist locations in order to create a travel brochure on your country.

Media Center literacy skills to be demonstrated include:

1.    Locating information - basic keyword searching in the online databases and e-books to locate relevant information.

2.    Using information - taking notes from multiple sources (databases, web site and print)

3.    Evaluating and synthesizing information – using applicable notes to create new information – a travel brochure.

         Click on Destinations (menu across top) --> Click on map -->Scroll down, click on country name and/or links to places in that country to explore. 

    Frommer's Travel
Click on map --> Select country (middle of screen) --> Then click View Slideshow or select links to more info on activities and sights.

       Lonely Planet 
         Click on  Destination arrow (menu across top) -->Select region your country is in -->Select your country --> Try Places To Go link or Sights link.  
   
 Latin Discover
In square Search box: Select Interest like General Sightseeing or Cultural-->  Under Country select your country-->Press search for tours.
