Assignment and Objectives
Students will work in groups of 3-4 to research one classification of drugs from the list below:
Students will answer 8 questions about their drug classification and create a PowerPoint presentation following the specific directions described in the assignment handout.
Students will use the following information literacy skills learned in the media center to research their drug classification using print, online database and web sources.
1. Basic/advanced keyword searching in the online databases and e-books to locate information on their drug classification.2. Use of identified medical websites for researching information on their drug classification.3. Basic/advanced keyword searching and evaluation techniques for identifying reliable and relevant web sites on their topic.4. Taking notes from, and appropriately citing, multiple sources (databases, web site and print)
