Mathematics Department

Mission Statement
The mission of the mathematics department is to provide students with a broad foundation in mathematics and the tools necessary to build on that foundation according to their individual needs.  In support of this mission, the department

• Creates opportunities that fosters cooperation and growth.
• Incorporates technology as a tool within the curriculum.
• Develops each student's ability to approach problems with logic and accuracy and solve problems in real situational contexts.
• Develops each student's appreciation of mathematics.
• Provides remedial instruction as needed.
• Encourages students to become effective problem solvers and adaptive learners.
