Announcements

The Ridge Varsity Ice Hockey team takes on Hunterdon Central tomorrow Saturday evening at Bridgewater Sports Arena. A win will give the Ridge squad the Skylands Conference championship. The Senior Hockey players will be honored at a Senior Night ceremony immediately before the game. Come out at 8:15pm to cheer on your Red Devils to victory!

 

Anyone interested in attending the Cornell spring Model UN conference should come to a quick meeting Monday, Feb. 6th after school in Rm. 531. New members are welcome.


Yearbook Staff will not be meeting for the rest of the week.  Only editors should report after school.  Meetings after school will resume on Monday, February 6.

 

Attention Boys interested in playing Lacrosse; there will be a meeting today, Friday, Feb 3rd at 2:45 in Rm. 630. If you are interested, and unable to attend, please e-mail Coach Marsh whose e-mail can be found on the William Annin website.

 

Attention cast of "The Secret Garden"; A rehearsal has been added to tomorrow Saturday, February 4th from 10am - 2pm.  All cast is expected to attend unless you have a previously approved conflict.


The William Annin Middle School Athletic Organization is looking for a Ridge Senior or Junior to serve as assistant coach for the following school teams:  Boys Baseball, Girls Softball, Boys Lacrosse and Girls Lacrosse. This is a three day a week paid position that runs from late February through May.  Any Ridge student with playing experience in these sports is encouraged to apply.  Please contact joannewach@verizon.net for more information or to apply for this leadership position.

 

Please be advised that ALL medical paperwork for Spring Sports is due to the Athletic Office by Friday, February 10th.  Forms are available in the Athletic Office at Ridge High School or online.    If you have any questions about what you need, please stop by the Athletics Office.

  •  In-house physicals are available on Monday, February 6th from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at Ridge for all Spring athletes.  Register at www.gotomysportsphysical.com .  Cost is $40.00.
  •  PLEASE NOTE...the school district is closed from February 18th - February 26th and a nurse will not be available to clear physicals during that time.  Opening day for all spring sports is Friday (March 2nd) of the week we return.  You CAN NOT participate in any tryout until a clearance has been issued.  Please, get your paperwork in as soon as possible...

 

The next Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be on Monday, February 6th in Room 622.  All are welcome!

RPO is collecting gently worn or new jeans for its annual “Teens for Jeans drive now through February, Friday 10. Drop off jeans to the box in the main lobby.  Click HERE for more info.


The Ridge Alumni Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications for its $6,000 award to a graduating senior. The award is based on character, determination and non-traditional achievements -- rather than grades or test scores -- and may be used for any purpose. Deadline is Monday, March 5th. The Ridge Political Review is an independent, student-run political journal seeking to foster political discourse and student opinion. We are actively looking for new writers this year.  Click HERE to visit the review.

  • Art Club meets Tuesdays @ 2:30 in Rm. 621.
  • Breakfast Club Tues. & Thurs. 7AM in Rm. 731.
  • Cancer Support Club meets the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Monday of the month. Informational meeting at 7AM and workshop meetings at 2:45 both in the Media Center.
  • Chess Club meets Thursdays @2:30 in Rm. 526.
  • Economics Club meets every other Friday at 7AM in Rm. 730.
  • Fashion Club meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 7AM in Rm. 730.
  • Fed Challenge Club meets every Tuesday at 2:30PM in Rm. 730.
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets on Thursdays at 7AM in Rm. 515.  NON-ATHLETES ARE WELCOME!
  • Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) meets Mondays, 2:30-3:30PM in the Rm. 622.
  • Green Team meets every Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-3:30 in Rm. 410.
  • Junior Classical League (Latin Club) OFFICERS meet every Wednesday morning at 7:00AM in Rm. 529.  All interested Latin students are encouraged to attend these planning meetings.
  • Junior Classical League meetings are held once a month, on the last or second to last Wednesday of the month, at 7AM in Rm. 529. Please contact Mr. Gebhardt to confirm meeting dates.
  • Key Club meets bi-monthly on Wednesdays at 7AM in Rm. 535.
  • Model UN meets Wednesdays at 2:45PM in Rm. 531.
  • Physics Club meets Thursdays at 7:00AM in Rm. 506.
  • REPP meets the first Thursday of the month at 7AM in Rm. 404.
  • Ridge Red Cross Club meets on Thursdays at 7 AM in Rm. 532—Check the Ridge Red Cross Facebook group for updates.
  • Ridge Amnesty International meets weekly in various locations on Monday evenings. Please contact ridgeamnesty@gmail.com for information on meeting locations.
  • Ridge Asian Culture Club meets bi-monthly on Tuesdays at 7AM Rm. 624, next meeting is 10/11.
  • Ridge Dance Collective meets Fridays, 2:45-4:00 in Rm. 231.
  • Ridge Dance Team meets Tuesdays, 2:30-4:0PM in Rm. 231.
  • Ridge Ethics Club meets every other Friday at 7AM in Lecture Hall A. Next meeting is 10/2.
