Welcome to our Computer Lab!
At Oak Street, computer skills are taught through content areas to enhance the curriculum, provide authentic educational experiences, and accommodate various learning styles. The program enhances the meaning of student's experiences by exploring the connection between their lives and the world around them, and equip students with the ability to seek and evaluate points of view, work independently, and express themselves intelligently. The integration of technology provides a unique experience for students to collect, evaluate, and interpret data.
The computer teacher works closely with classroom teachers to provide computer lab experiences that incorporate and extend regular classroom activities while building computer skills. Our students also explore online resources in a protected environment. They use problem solving and simulation software to enhance critical thinking.
