School Closing and Holidays

Delayed Openings:
In the event that there is a delayed opening, no lunch is served. Please send your child to school with a snack. The LCS school day begins at 11:00.
There is no before school care or after school care on days with delayed openings or early dismissals due to inclement weather.
Early Dismissals
On early dismissal days, students are released from school in the usual way, whether they ride the bus, walk home, attend Aftercare, or are a car rider. Dismissal on half days is at 1:00 pm. No lunch is served, so please send your child to school with a snack.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, there are several other ways to determine whether there is a school closure, delayed opening or early dismissal. If weather necessitates a school closing or delayed opening, a posting will be made by 6:30 AM, and if a dismissal is deemed necessary, by 10:30 AM, on the following:
