Description of our LCS Character Education Program:
A cornerstone of the Liberty Corner Caring Community is our commitment to helping those in need. Through service projects ranging from the collection of winter coats to the harvesting of pennies, a solid connection between the students and the community is established. Life lessons learned as a result of our commitment to helping others, demonstrating compassion and generosity, develop the moral fiber that enables students to become confident, assured individuals who will assume contributory roles in a global community.
Character education is important to all of us at Liberty Corner School. We believe that character education is life's work and helps everyone to become better students, teachers, and parents.
We have adopted the "Character Counts" program and each month celebrate one of the six pillars. A new pillar is introduced during one of our monthly school-wide assemblies. Each grade level is responsible for introducing the pillar to the school community and coordinating a school-wide community service project.
