Social Studies: Our fourth grade curriculum covers early American History from the migration of the Native Americans to the Formation of the New Nation.
The topics include:

- Formation of a New Nation *
* The emphasis is on New Jersey's Role.
Math: Fourth Grade uses the "Everyday Math" series developed by the University of Chicago. The program focuses on higher order thinking and problem solving.
The main topics include:
- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts
- various addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division algorithms
- geometry
- approximation, number sense
- fractions, probability
- decimals, percents
- measurement
- functions and graphing
- problem solving
Science: In fourth grade students participate in many hands-on activities and experiments. The students study four units:
- Motion & Design
- Oceans
- Light, sound, & electricity
- Rocks & minerals
Reading: Fourth graders read many novels which cover the themes of flexibility and adjustment to change, convictions, tolerance, and creativity/fantasy. Our program also includes an anthology of high quality literature from different genres, broken down into thematic units. Spelling and vocabulary are collected from our stories and from word-study rules.
Writer’s Workshop: Fourth Graders learn to write for several different purposes (persuasion, information, description) and for different audiences. They are taught different types of writing including prose, poetry, research, and short stories.
