IF YOU DRIVE RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO SCHOOL….

Recently, the Ridge High School morning buses have been unloading students from the Cedar Hill School parking lot immediately adjacent to the Ridge High School campus. The result is a drastic improvement in the car line in front of Ridge High School where parents drop off students. Of course rerouting the buses has also increased traffic through the Homestead Village neighborhood. To reduce Homestead Village traffic, we are asking that all private vehicles utilize the car line in front of Ridge High School for dropping off students – NOT the Cedar Hill School. Please help us remove private vehicle traffic from the Homestead Village neighborhood by utilizing only the car line in front of Ridge High School if you are driving Ridge students to school. Preferably, if possible, have your children ride the bus to school. Thank you.

Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) initiative is underway
The BYOT policy adopted in October and presented at the November 14th Board of Education meeting has launched.  The district has created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)document to address common questions and concerns from parents, students, and staff.  New Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms will need to be completed for each student in grades 3-12.

Friday Folder Update!
Join the Green Team
We have been sending school-specific information through the individual school Friday Folders, while notices of a more general nature, such as YMCA brochures and Township Recreations flyers, have been sent through the district folder. Please spread the word that all school correspondence is only being sent electronically this year, and that anyone who has not registered their e-mail address will miss receiving important news.

Please click here for a direct link to register to receive Friday Folders.

By ‘going green’, we hope to ensure improved communication with our families and community, save money on paper and reproduction, and better serve our environment. You may register both your personal and business addresses, and may also include addresses for children away at college, grandparents, or any others interested in receiving school news.

Thank you for helping us!!
